Coordinated Opioid Overdose Reduction Effort (COORE)
COORE is a collaborative initiative that uses a comprehensive and therapeutic response to address the opioid epidemic. Amnesty is guaranteed to anyone who wishes to dispose of their drugs and/or paraphernalia who comes to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office with this intention. This program is a collaborative effort between the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (who spearheaded the program), CJRD, Orange County Emergency Management Services, Freedom House, and local police departments.
