Interlocal Agreement Committee for the Hillsborough Area-Orange County Strategic Growth Plan Phase II
Description: This board will work jointly with Orange County and Town of Hillsborough to work on a Hillsborough Area strategic growth plan that includes: general purpose of the planning study area; examine the present conditions of planning issues such as land use patterns, utility and roadway infrastructure, etc. and trend future conditions; plan for the future within the sustainability constraints of resources (natural, fiscal, and public service) which are then programmed for location and intensity; jurisdictional planning review guidelines to promote an efficient and coordinated orderly pattern of growth-in this case, a cooperative planning agreement betwwen the Town of Hillsborough and Orange County; and implementation strategy, but not the actual regulatory land use and zoning changes of interlocal agreements which are the next formal stage (i.e., Phase Two).
