  1. Hanging Rock State Park Day Trip

    November 13, 2019, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Chapel Hill Community Center

    Explore Hanging Rock State Park. You’ll hike, take in the sights, and relax around waterfalls. Discover Troy’s Den and its history during the American Revolution. We’ll end the afternoon exploring downtown Winston Salem’s art district and grab an early dinner before heading home. Participants are required to bring a water bottle/hydration pack, lunch and additional money for dinner/souvenirs. Ages: 50+. Instructor: Keith Dodson

  2. NATURE TRAIL WALK for Mandarin Speakers: Blackwood Farm Park

    This forest walk encircles the farm and provides remarkable scenic views of the rolling fields, large pond, and farmstead. Also, tour the historic Blackwood family farm building complex with interpretive signage and interesting photography. Approximately 1.5 miles. Walking difficulty: Easy, but with some tree roots and uneven surfaces. Leader: Rich Shaw, retired Orange County Land Conservation Manager accompanied by Mandarin speaking interpreter.

Kim is also the Director of Culinary Education at PlantPure, where she works with her husband, Nelson, promoting a whole foods plant-based diet. Kim graduated from Cornell Univ with a BS in Human Service Studies with a concentration in Nutrition and Child Development. Her passion has always been nutrition education for children, families and adults. Get ready for the holidays with plenty of healthy food choices.
