Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the citizens of Orange County with fair, efficient, convenient, and accurate Elections within the guidelines of State and Federal Election Laws.
In addition to preparing for and conducting all elections within Orange County,
the Orange County Board of Elections is responsible for processing and maintaining
all Orange County voter registration records.

Composition of the Board of Elections
The Board of Elections is appointed by the North Carolina State Board of Elections, and members serve terms of two years beginning the Tuesday following the third Monday in July in odd numbered years. No more than two members of the County Board of Elections shall belong to the same political party.
The Board meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. with some exceptions. Please contact the Board of Elections office to confirm monthly Board meeting schedule.
Board meetings are held in the Board of Elections Conference Room, located at 208 S. Cameron Street, Hillsborough, NC 27278. You may email the Director of the Orange County Board of Elections for questions regarding monthly Board meetings or to ask to be placed on the agenda.
