Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory and Forecast
Orange County, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro (in conjunction with the Town of Hillsborough) are in the midst of a project to inventory greenhouse gas emissions and identify reduction measures and an action plan. A consulting firm, ICLEI Energy Services of Toronto, is conducting the inventory and action plan effort, in conjunction with a technical team of staff from the jurisdictions. ICLEI will be presenting their report on Wednesday February 25, 2009 at the Board of County Commissioners Joint meeting with OWASA and municipalities. The meeting will be held at the Southern Human Services Center 2501 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill beginning at 7:30 p.m.
