We're open for business!
On 10/13/2011 we received our Environmental Health permit. We are now open for business!
Now that the doors are open we will be adding more Initial Consultation slots and Orientations starting immediately! We will also be scheduling Applicant Tours the last week of October! Please note you must be an applicant to register. Open tours for the public will follow in November.

About PFAP
The PFAP is a joint project of Alamance, Chatham, Durham, and Orange Counties, with Orange County acting as the fiscal agent during the establishment phase, as well as the home location of the center.
The PFAP ’s start began in 2007, with Weaver Street Market and Whole Foods contributing to an area Feasibility Study of a food incubator for the Piedmont.
The PFAP construction started in 2010, and is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2011. We feature a large variety of equipment to meet a variety food-business needs.
PFAP’s mission is simple: To create a strong base to help launch and grow new food-businesses in the Piedmont, focusing on a 75 mile radius in all directions.
A Steering Committee has been established with representation from each county, including a County Commissioner, County Manager or designee, County Extension Director, and a local farmer, for a total of 16 members. This committee provides general guidance for the center’s direction and operation, with the eventual goal of the center’s transition to a 501(c)(3) or similar entity.
