Orange County Recreation offers over 100 programs per year intended to engage and enrich both the individual and the community. The program guides above provide information regarding current and up-coming programs. The links below allow you to browse the programs we offer year round for what might be of interest to you and your family now and in the future.

Volunteer
Volunteer application and background check
We are always looking for volunteers for various recreation activities to include working with people with disabilities, coaching in athletic leagues, and assisting with Special Events. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the volunteer application. All volunteers are subject to a background check before participating or assisting with programs.
Reserve Facilities
Most facilities are available for use by private groups and individuals upon payment of rental fees, facility deposit, and completion of application use forms. Please call 919.245.2660, or come by the Orange County Recreation administrative office during our regular business hours to schedule facility use. Facilities must be reserved two weeks prior to event. More information on individual facilities can be found on our Parks and Facilities page.

| DEAPR-Recreation Division exists to provide Orange County residents of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and interests with a wide variety of affordable recreation programming, open access to recreation facilities, and opportunities for all people to gather, celebrate, and engage in activities that promote healthy lifestyles, teach important life skills, and build a stronger community. |

Administrative offices are closed on county holidays, although some programs and activities may still take place; please visit the program website or contact your instructor/coach for program specifics.
We encourage the citizens of Orange County to get involved with their community through participation, volunteering, or reserving one of our many beautiful facilities for individual use.
Youth Summer Basketball
Register by May 10

Couch-to-5K Finishers
Congratulations to all of our Couch-to-5K participants who completed their race on Saturday, April 20.

Youth Participant Insurance
Mandatory beginning January 2013
Effective January 1, 2013 all youth (17-years-old and under) who participate in any Orange County DEAPR-Recreation Division youth program will be required to enroll for recreation participant insurance and pay a fee of five dollars ($5.00) once per calendar year.
