Couch-to-5K is a running program designed to assist new runners with being active while achieving the goal of running a 5K race. The class structure is designed to gradually increase duration of running over a 2 month period. Couch-to-5K is a three day per week program; class will meet twice per week with participants expected to complete the third day of training on their own time. Most sessions will begin with stretching and a brisk walk (warm-up), followed by jogging/walking (activity) and ending with a light jog/walk/stretch (cool down). As the weeks increase so will the intensity and duration of the activities.
**Children interested in running with their parent can join our Ready, Set, Run program Wednesdays and Saturdays, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Both programs will conclude with the same race event on Sunday, May 17.
