Solid Waste Advisory Board
Due to the expiration of the interlocal agreement regarding Solid Waste between Orange County and the towns of Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough, the Solid Waste Advisory Board is no longer authorized.
Since 1994 the Orange County Solid Waste Advisory Board (SWAB) consisted of an eight-member body to provide advice to the Board of Orange County Commissioners on solid waste matters in our county. The SWAB consisted of two representatives from each of the four local governments in Orange County selected by that government, plus a liaison from the Board of Orange County Commissioners and one from UNC Chapel Hill.
