1. Cedar Falls Park: One mile east of Martin Luther King Blvd. on Weaver Dairy Rd.
2. University Mall: Mall parking lot, behind the gas station on Estes Drive
3. Meadowmont: Behind Harris Teeter
4. Carrboro Plaza: Behind ABC Store in southeast corner of the Plaza
5. Hampton Pointe: Behind Home Depot, Hwy 86 in Hillsborough

Do not leave trash or bulky items at 24-Hour Dropoff sites!
Bring to Solid Waste Convenience Centers instead.
Do not leave plastic bags in any of the recycling containers at Dropoff Sites.
Recycle the following materials and prepare them accordingly:

NEW!! Rigid Plastics Available February 1, 2010 #2 (HDPE) and #5 (PP) NON-BOTTLE plastic items.
Acceptable items are: Plastic buckets, cups and tubs, drums (empty), flower pots (1 pint or larger) and rigid nursery trays (no flimsy bubble packs), lawn furniture (no #3 PVC), dish drainers, laundry baskets, milk crates, soda crates, pet carriers, recycling bins, garbage pails, stadium cups, all totes and tote lids. No other plastics #1, #3, #6, #7. No bottles. Recycle in the dark blue "Bottles, Cans and Jars" container. No food residue or dirt. No plastic bags, styrofoam, or plastic clam-shell take out/fruit containers.

Mixed Paper Junk mail, office paper, dry and frozen food boxes, gable-top milk and juice cartons, tissue boxes, paper tubes and other clean dry paper that tears. Shredded paper is OK; please keep in paper bag to prevent blowing!

No tissue, waxy, plastic coated or food contaminated paper. No aseptic flat-topped drink boxes.

Newspaper, Magazines and Phonebooks

No plastic bags, CD's or other media.

Corrugated Cardboard and Brown Paper Bags Corrugated cardboard has three layers with a wavy inner layer. Empty cardboard boxes and break them down flat. Paper bags only, no other type of bags.

Steel, Aluminum and Aerosol Spray Cans, Aluminum Foil Must be empty and free of food. |

Glass Bottles and Jars

No dishes, cookware, lightbulbs, window glass, mirror glass, pyrex, mugs, drinking glasses or ceramics.

Plastic Bottles and Jugs Plastic Bottles and Jugs ONLY please. Any number is fine so long as it is a bottle. A bottle has a neck smaller than the base.

No plastic toys, tubs, cups or buckets. Recycle these with "RIGID PLASTICS" available at drop-off sites February 1. Look for the purple containers.
