Solid Waste Management Department
The Orange County Solid Waste Management Department is responsible for operating the Orange County Landfill, Orange County Solid Waste Convenience Centers and Orange Community Recycling Programs.

The Orange County Landfill (location and contact information) provides the following services:
- municipal solid waste disposal
- construction and demolition waste disposal
- scrap metal and appliance (white goods) recycling
- tire recycling
- electronics recycling
- corrugated cardboard recycling
- yard waste and clean wood (not painted or treated) recycling
- mulch and compost sales
- hazardous waste collection
The Orange County Solid Waste Management Department is responsible for providing the following recycling services:
- curbside recycling
- multifamily recycling
- commercial recycling
- 24-hour Recycling Dropoff Sites
- Solid Waste Convenience Centers
- hazardous waste collection
Orange County Solid Waste Convenience Centers offer the following drop-off services:
- disposal for household garbage and bulky items such as furniture
- scrap metal and appliance recycling
- yard waste collection at 4 of 5 Convenience Centers
- electronics recycling
- clean wood waste recycling
- corrugated cardboard recycling
- recycling for newspaper, mixed paper, magazines, plastic bottles, metal cans and glass bottles and jars
- Salvage Sheds for reuse of used items at 4 of the 5 Convenience Centers
