There are five recycling drop-off sites available 24-hours/day, 7 days/week for conventional recycling (no garbage) located in the three towns http://www.orangecountync.gov/recycling/dropoffs.asp for all Orange County residents and businesses to use.  In anticipation of the coming snowfall, we encourage people to utilize these sites today to drop off their bottles, cans, paper and cardboard recycling before the snow starts to fall.

7:30 a.m.

Urban Curbside recycling will be running today, Wednesday, with only a slightly later start than normal (7:30AM) and Rural Curbside recycling routes will be operating on a three and a half hour delay, starting at 10:30.  Roads that are icy, blocked, or otherwise unsafe to travel will be missed.  Missed collections today will not be made up. Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Due to falling and rapidly accumulating snowfall, Urban and Rural Curbside recycling routes are cancelled for Tuesday, February 24.  A make-up day for Tuesday only will be Saturday February 28, weather and road conditions permitting.

In anticipation of cold temperatures persisting and even more snow coming on Thursday, there is a likelihood that Wednesday and Thursday curbside recycling routes will be cancelled as well.  If that is the case, those days will not be able to be made up.  Houses and roads that were missed last week due to the inclement weather will not be made up.

Every attempt will be made to collect routes as scheduled, but driver safety, equipment safety, and preventing property damage are also our priorities.
