Inclement Weather/ Unscheduled Changes
3/1/13 -- Yesterday (Thursday 2/28) a significant portion of neighborhoods near Culbreth Rd. in Chapel Hill had their regular Thursday curbside recycling collection missed due to new driver error. That area should be completely collected by close of business today (Friday). If your bins were missed and you live in this section of Chapel Hill, please leave your bins out so they can be picked up. Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Check this page in the case of delayed or cancelled curbside recycling collections, or unanticipated landfill and Solid Waste Convenience Center schedule changes due to weather events or other occurrence that might impact the schedules of Solid Waste Management Department services.
If partial routes of curbside recycling collection are delayed due to operational difficulties on the part of the collector we will list the effected streets here. If your bin was missed and was out by 7AM on your collection day, but you do not see your street listed here, give us a call, (919) 968-2788.
