C. 86 and the boundary between the Orange County/Chapel Hill-Carrboro School districts follow the School District line east to its intersection with the Rail Road spur that goes between University Station and Carrboro. Then following the center line of the railroad north to its intersection with I-40. Then following the center line of I-40 east to its intersection with N. C. 86. Then following the center line of N. C. 86 south to its intersection with Homestead Rd. Then following the center line of Homestead Rd. west to its intersection with Rogers Rd. Then following the center line of Rogers Rd. north to its intersection with Tally Ho Trail. Then following the center line of Tally Ho Trail west to its end. Then following the census block boundary that runs along the subdivision property lines in an east then northeasterly direction to a point near the north end of Rogers Rd. at the edge of Duke Forest. Then following the center line of Rogers Rd. north to the intersection of Eubanks Rd. Then following the center line of Eubanks Rd. west to its intersection with Old N. C. 86. Then following the center line of Old N. C. 86 north to its intersection with the boundary between the Orange County/Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Districts.

Considerations

  • Rapidly expanding area with the addition of Carraway Village
  • Hogan Farms and Patterson precincts are both nearing capacity
  • Would result in one less ballot style for Patterson precinct as the Eubanks lines follow the County Commissioner district lines
