Wendi has spent her career working to improve the economic and social condition for families living in under resource communities. At the Danville Regional Foundation, Everson worked to identify innovative strategies that address barriers to economic opportunities by leading community efforts and advocating for programs, practices and policies that help all residents achieve the vibrant future they see for themselves.
Prior to DRF, Wendi served as an administrator for Boys and Girls Clubs that served Danville & Pittsylvania County where she discovered her profound passion for serving children facing poverty.
Wendi received a Master’s in Business Administration from Averett University and holds a Bachelors of Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia. She has a Certificate in NonProfit Management from Duke University and serves on the Board of Directors for IFC – Interfaith Council.
Wendi enjoys traveling to watch her son play football at North Carolina A&T and she enjoys spending time with her husband Jason coaching their daughters Jada and Jenesis.
